A memorial service for Edmund Barrick will be held at St. Margaret’s on Sunday, October 22 at 2:30 pm, with the Rev. Canon Rhondda MacKay officiating. All are invited to come and remember Edmund, and pray for his soul.

Midday Midweek Prayers Every Wednesday at noon, the Rev. Aigah Attagutsiak leads a half hour prayer service in the church by the altar. Join her any, or every, time for moment peace and a Bible reading in the middle of your busy week.

Happy Birthday to you! We celebrate our church friends who have a birthday this week. Neil Forsyth celebrates on October 8, Asenath Kannutaq celebrates on October 12 and Judy Oatway celebrates on October 14.

Meet PWRDF African partners Dr. Evrard Hahimana, a medical doctor from Rwanda, and Geoffrey Patrick Monjesa, a development worker from the Diocese of Masasi, Tanzania, will join Ottawa Anglicans at an informal ”meet and greet” at St. Bartholomew’s church, 125 MacKay St. (New Edinburgh). Oct. 19-20 • Covenant Chain Link VIII Organized by KAIROS and sponsored by our diocesan Healing and Reconciliation Fund, this 2-day event brings together Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples to learn from each other about their evolving relationship. Oct. 19, 7 pm—St. Paul’s Univ.— the NFB film “Birth of a Family” about the impact of the “Sixties Scoop” on one family. Oct. 20 — keynote speaker Dr Jenny Kay Dupuis (Nipissing First Nation), cultural presentations and workshops led by Indigenous youth, at the Confederation centre near Nepean Sportsplex.
